    Another clutch poll

When I did the 42rle in my TJ, AutoZone had the E12 in a 4 pack of sockets (part #: 75-057)

    My XJ Dana 44 build

These are the costs for the purchase of the axle and disc brake swap. I still don't have the ZJ disc backing plates or calipers yet so they aren't factored in.

    My XJ Dana 44 build

Yup, all the brackets on the XJ axle will be coming off and an Artec 8.8 TJ truss will be welded on. Artec has instructions to adapt the 8.8 kit on a Dana 60 & Wagoneer Dana 44 so it should work on the XJ Dana 44, maybe. If I wasn't going the Artec route... spring perches, shock mounts, lower and upper...

    My XJ Dana 44 build

The Dana 35 in my TJ is starting to wear out so I started to look into replacement options before it blows up. I did some research on the forums and had decided a Ford 8.8 from an Explorer would be a good swap. I figured 8.8's are easy to find, cheapish to buy and have tons of aftermarket support...

    Hood prop rod retainer clip

The Dorman hood prop assortment from the part store help section works well. It says GM & VW but it works https://www.dormanproducts.com/p-2268-45396.aspx

WTB: driver & passenger headlight buckets

I've got a 2004 TJ with broken headlight buckets. Anyone have a set they would like to sell? I know Crown have some aftermarket ones but I've read reviews that they don't hold adjustment like the OEM ones do. I just installed some truck-lite LEDs on so I don't need the glass headlights, just...

    42RLE shifts hard

Yes, I’ve checked the ATF level hot/cold running/not running and it all seems to be correct. I’ve got a Warn 8274 in front of my radiator but I’ll reconnect it before the Derale cooler Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    42RLE shifts hard

I should probably add the radiator cooler back in line with the Derale. The transmission company said for the warranty to be valid I needed to provide picture evidence that the radiator was either replaced or bypassed with an aftermarket cooler. I’ve replaced the radiator recently and have...

    NV231 Rear Output Shaft Leaking

The pliers used for that job aren’t actually called snap ring pliers, every company I’ve seen that sell them call them horseshoe ring pliers or just ring pliers. I couldn’t find them locally when I did my SYE but Amazon have them https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HRY1UEW/?tag=wranglerorg-20

    42RLE shifts hard

I've got a 2004 TJ with a 4.0 & 42RLE. About a month ago I replaced the original 42rle at 125k with a reman unit from Powertrain Solutions. I also added a Derale TJ transmission cooler to keep things cool and bypassed the radiator cooler as per the reman companies request. Most of the time the...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Pulled the 42rle out ready for the reman to arrive. This one lasted 120k without an aux transmission cooler. A big auxiliary cooler is a must with these transmissions so I've got a 9" x 11" cooler to prevent the reman from overheating.

    TJ wiring question

Most likely the wire connector behind the grill is for the outside temperature sensor. At least that's how it is on my 04 Sahara. The fog light wiring would be in the same wire loom as the blinker and side marker lights.

    Hello from Tallahassee, FL

Nope, haven't heard of him. I had a 2011 F350 front Dana Super 60 and rear Dana 60HD axle that I was going to put under my TJ but plans changed and I'm going a different route. I'll make a build thread to show off what I've done and add to it as I go.
