    Heater core clogged?

Yes, both thermostats were 195 degree. Now with the new thermostat installed. OBD shows coolant temp at 204 degrees on highway, not sure why cooler than 210, but better than the 185 degrees before swap. (new MOPAR water pump installed too.) However, the OBD is showing a PO118 code. not sure what...

    Heater core clogged?

Learning as I go... Little or no heat. Trying to flush heater core. Neither water or air will go through hoses. Please advise. Also, the Jeep has been running cool. OBD says 185. I replaced thermostat, but would a blocked heater core affect coolant temp?

    Ugly Diamond Plate Hood Protector

Hey, I have the Diamond Plate Hood Protector on my TJ. Don’t like it, but like the dents it covers less. Is there anything more stylish out there that would look better? I’ll eventually get the bodywork done on the hood.

Covering up the rear seat floor brackets

Love the stall mat idea. I did remove the brackets, but still, for the dogs, I use a 36" X 36" saddle pad. Perfect fit and the fleece on bottom absorbs "a lot" of the bumps.

    Anybody use a hood lock?

I installed the Tuffy hood lock. Install was weird as I thought it should fit "square," or straightly aligned, but after calling Tuffy, they said it fits on a slight angle. I kind of like it, but do have the extra key issue.

1998 4.0 water pump bolt torque

Looking over the torque specs posted here. Looks like the the 1998 bolt torque for the water pump is 22 ft. lbs opposed to the 200 in. lbs. (16.6 ft. lbs.) for the 2004? Aslo, a stupid question: The Automatic Belt Tensioner Pulley Bolt is the bolt that tightens the belt? 45 ft. lbs. What is...

How to proceed with flawed gasket seating?

What do you all think about this RTV made for water pump and thermostat housing? https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c/permatex/permatex-0-5-ounce-water-pump-and-thermostat-rtv-silicone/per0/22071/v/a/30033/automotive-truck-2009-gmc-sierra-1500?pos=0&manufacturer=true

How to proceed with flawed gasket seating?

Apply a thin film of RTV on the head before the gasket or instead of the gasket?

Seems the rough surface does extend under the gasket.

How to proceed with flawed gasket seating?

The thermostat gasket seat is pocked. Please advise. Thanks Oops, I just held the gasket up and now see that is not the seat. Thanks anyway. (My 1st water pump, thermostat job)
