The unfortunate TJ of the day thread

And I thought it was a one off. Seen this red one here at Home Depot and again at the bank.

    Wranglerfix.com experience

As a user of an '05 6-speed. I can attest that after 4 months, or however long since the last stimulus check... I've had my CEL O2 codes disappear with probably an additional 2k miles. It may have cost me a pretty penny for the manual version, but if I can keep the Jeep on Georgia roads for the...

Is it worth buying a 2005 Wrangler with a check engine light?

The CEL could mean a world of things. Next time you see the Jeep, flip the ignition to on and back to off 3 times without turning the engine. So, On - off - on - off- on. Then it'll read the codes the CEL is producing.

    05-06 PCM issue is solved

I'll just say, I've an '05 TJ 6-spd as well. Same codes 032/038/052/058. They would come on and off whenever they damn well felt like. I kind of skipped all the other repairs and the people at the Chrysler dealership told me PCM. Replaced mine with a Wranglerfix PCM some 1000+ miles ago I...

    Bronco vs. Wrangler

Ha! Haha.. *pukes* No wonder I didn't recognize it.

    Bronco vs. Wrangler

GM is already trying to bring back the Hummer, though it's an all electric version. Also, no news on bringing back the Blazer or Jimmy, or what have you, yet. I'm going to say unlikely. According to our town hall, the AEVs will all have the same base chassis with battery, frame, suspension...

I'd like to see your off road light setup

With those windshield brackets, does your antenna hit the daylighter? (I also assume your daylighters are 6")

Jeep with Mopar Rock Crawler bumpers

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1561802164027359/ In my weekly scour of the Facebook Marketplace for cheap parts Jeeps, I came across this one. I know some people be looking for them bumpers, Figured, if anyone wants to take the plunge, (if it's still available), pick up the Jeep...

    Hello From Macon, Georgia :)

Welcome! From just north of Atlanta, Georgia. I may not be German, but I sure speak it! Undercarriage rust doesn't look too bad, just take a wire wheel to places and repaint. Something you could probably knock out in a good weekend. A bit of degreaser on the engine and she'll be almost like...

    Light bar wiring doubts

    - It is definitely possible to install both sets of lights using the two relays and connect them both to a single switch. - Recommended cable gauging depends on the amperage of each set of bulbs. Them being 55W per bulb at ~13.7 Volts running, leaves you (through V=IR) makes you pull around 9...

What did you do to your TJ today?

I, personally, like the stock-ish look of the Jeep, hhnce why I have no plans to lift the Jeep. Similarly, I like the way the cover looks right now. Just been on and off on deciding to get a winch, seeing if there's any way to add one without cutting that cover. Thanks, though!

What did you do to your TJ today?

Did you have to cut the sway bar cover to mount that winch? I want to get a winch, but I also want to keep that cover without permanently disfiguring it.

Overall, what is the best year of Jeep Wrangler TJs?

Personally, I would. A failing OPDA could fail without the screaming monkeys. Hell, mine rattled like a knocking rod but not a peep from a monkey.

What did you do to your TJ today?

There's been a ticking going (intermittently) coming from the front of my Jeep. At first I thought it was the throwout bearing, as the clutch pedal would make it go away. Then I thought it was lifter tick. Then it got really loud, like it was knocking a rod. Inspected that in a Kroger parking...

    Wiring for factory fog lights

I got nothing for that. I've never seen that before, but I only know 05's. My slot four in the PDC is RAD FAN If you're going to use the Gold Coast, I assume their rocker switches. Very easy to wire up. Black is ground, white is load (relay), and then you'd attach the red wire to an add a...
