    Update: Brought it to a shop to get the clutch replaced and its way better now. It's noticeably easier to put it in 1st at a stop, but the 2nd gear notchiness is still there. Probably the synchros getting a bit worn.

    Update: I brought it to the shop and they took the head off after doing some tests. They found a bad intake seat on cyl1.

    As the title says, I have a misfire on cylinder 1 at idle. It's a 1998 4.0 with 165k miles. I can feel slight vibrations while in the car and it is idling. I had this code a few months ago and changed the plugs, coil wires, distributor cap, and the distributor rotor and the problem went away...

    Swapped out the Master/slave cylinder today and the problem is still there. I'm going to drive it more to let the fluid get a chance to work, but looks like the problem might be somewhere in the clutch/bell housing.

    Thanks for all the advice everybody. I'll swap out the slave/master first. If that doesn't work, I'll start looking into clutch issues. How much does a cluch job usually run if i go to a shop? Dropping the tranny might be too much for me.
