I'm looking too and leaning toward the Savvy aluminum to save weight. I was surprised to crawl under and find a couple (small) dents in my oil pan, I didn't notice it when I did it so need to add a surfboard sooner rather than later.

Someone should make a lower profile tire carrier. Seems this would be much better than spacing the tire out with extended snubbers. Adjustable would be perfect so the tire fit right. I tried to figure out a way to cut down the stock one but couldn't figure out an easy way.

Just installed the MORryde and like it a lot. Compared to a bumper tire carrier, no hassle to get in the back and no big, heavy contraption hanging off of the back.
