2004 Rubicon steering hopping and leaking reservoir

I have had a 2004 Rubicon for 2 years and have had no issues other than the normal. Recently, my steering started to feel as if it was “hopping” in the steering wheel when going into a turn or coming out of a turn. This only happens while moving, and not while sitting idling. Its as if...

Will a 04-06 Rubicon locker pump fit a 03 Rubicon?

I’m near Scranton/Wilkes Barre. And I found it on Ebay, just over $300 including shipping. Mine was completely rusted and missing the one piece on the side, still turned on but just didn’t pump any air. The rear pump looks the same but still works, I’ll put a new one in when I do the under hood...

I just ended up cutting the wires and splicing same colors and it works just as it should.

Will a 04-06 Rubicon locker pump fit a 03 Rubicon?

I am in the process of replacing my front ‘04 Rubicon locker pump with the same pump from the Kia Sorento due to Mopar part being discontinued. Everything is the exact same except for the connectors. Colored wires are in different pin locations. QUESTION IS, should I splice the wires to the...

2004 Wrangler Rubicon reverse lights blinking?

I was thinking that, but wouldn’t that prevent them from turning on at all?

2004 Wrangler Rubicon reverse lights blinking?

So I picked up an 04 5 speed Rubicon the other day, having a few issues as expected. One is my reverse lights. The Jeep is stock. When I brought the Jeep home, reverse lights wouldn’t come on, verified bulbs were good and cleaned off the unnecessary amount of dialectic grease, and after that...

2004 Rubicon front locker won't engage

It has to be the front pump. I just pulled the line off the pump and put my finger over it, heard it get deeper like it is building pressure but it will not turn off after 30 seconds. They are a little rusty so it doesn’t suprise me, I will replace and see how everything works then. Thanks for...

2004 Rubicon front locker won't engage

I tried that yesterday for almost 10 mins when buying the Jeep, took the deal for $500 off as is. Like I said above, I just went out and swapped lines on the pumps and the front locked just fine within a couple feet, but now the rear wouldn’t lock at all. Went around the block slowly and in...

2004 Rubicon front locker won't engage

Sorry should’ve mentioned, the pump works and runs continuously. I know it’s 5psi so I won’t feel much, but i can feel the light amount of air coming out of the pump when i pull the line and put my finger over it.

2004 Rubicon front locker won't engage

I just picked up a 2004 Rubicon yesterday, first rubicon after wrecking my 97 so i’m not too familiar yet. PO had the 4wd switch replaced because 4wd light on dash would not light up. Now the rear locker locks fine and i can tell for sure, but the front locker just blinks and won’t engage. I...

Jeep TJ extended brake lines super tight at full flex

so got a call today from auto zone, apparently when they gave me the first brake line to compare, it was stock length and they just told me it was for 4-6” lift. so basically when i compared what i thought was an extended line to mine, it was really a stock length line being compared to another...

Jeep TJ extended brake lines super tight at full flex

i will get out and measure how much droop at normal height here when i get a break at work. but i ordered the 4-6” lift lines from auto zone, PN #777848. they are the same exact size i’m running now, so i didn’t even purchase them after a side by side comparison under the jeep. also forgot to...

Jeep TJ extended brake lines super tight at full flex

hi, i have a 97 tj with 4-6” front extended brake lines. when i’m at full flex, they are tighter than guitar strings. everywhere i look only has a 4-6” option and i’m worried i’ll run into the same issue and waste money with them. i’m surprised they haven’t ripped in half by now but i’m sure...
