Dual rate springs: JKS JSPEC dual rate versus Metalcloak dual rate

You trying to start something?! All this is about is looking at two numbers! Bunch of morons on here. Just like in/lb and lb/in is the same thing dude
One is about 2.5 feet softer than the other.

Sooooo, what you're saying is ride height determines the lift amount. And to determine ride height you will need to know free length of the new spring and how much it will compress under load, or spring rate. Sounds like spring rate does matter, at least initially. Or not... Just slap something in, measure for shock length and go wheeling.

Thank you for saving me lots of time trying to help folks figure stuff out and all the time and typing which that entails. From this day forward, my pat answer will forever be, springs matter, go buy the softest ones you can find and enjoy the cushy ride.
About the only thing you've said on this thread is "springs don't matter, stop talking about springs". Hence the question, if springs don't matter then why is there a 9 page sticky about springs with a PDF of brands and rates? I've never said coil springs affect ride quality, but obviously there are differences that are important. If I had to guess, one would be looking to match springs to shocks lengths with the preferred amount of up/down travel. And the more pressing question, what to replace my POS crown vic coils with that I can still use my RS9000s.

Did Kamala Harris hack your account?o_O
" In order to determine the ride height and quality, we must first understand the quality and height of the ride. Once we understand the ride height and quality of the ride, we will understand what the ride height and quality of those are. Ride height and quality are only as important to each other as they are to one and other."

I don't care if you wear a mask on your mouth but you shouldn't wear one over your eyes before you spout mindless dribble. Show me where I said ANYTHING about ride quality in my post that you quoted. What I stated was a linear progression of how spring rate does matter and the blanket statement that it doesn't is misleading at best. Again, if "springs don't matter" then why is there a sticky thread about all the different part numbers? It serves a purpose.

If you want a cushy ride, get the softest springs possible.

What is it that you are trying to accomplish? Start with that.
