I just came to a realization that my front axle track bar mount insert bracket is not standard.

Amazon describes it as a drop bracket for max 31" tires,
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZR8WJ75/?tag=wranglerorg-20
fatbobsgarage list it for 3" suspension lift.

I have also noticed that my factory mount bolt holes are not wallowed out like on some of the Jeeps i have seen. So that makes me wonder if there is a benefit to this insert drop bracket, or is this another nonsense that will only catch on things while offroading.

take a nice clear pic of the links viewed from the front. draw straight lines from the ends of the TB and then the drag link end to end see how those angles or lines relate to each other.

is the other hole better or worse.

I had my TJ for over 2 years before I figured out my front track bar axle mount wasn't stock (in my case elevated:rolleyes:). Putting it back to stock sure improved my steering.

As my friend says as she makes fun of me and my Jeep: "Jeep is a gift that just keeps on giving".

I actually never had issues with steering, or at least nothing to complain about, but steering did become more precise/responsive when i removed it. I was so used to it the way it was, at first i did not like the change, but now i got used to it. A little wonder in steering wheel is surprising a comfy feature for someone my size, it allowed me to tilt it just slightly enough to have a comfy grip, rest my arm on the door and keep a straight line on the road.

Removing that bracket also got rid of the clanking noise it was causing during the steering, and it raised trackbar just enough to stop it from contacting with aftermarket dif cover.
