Where can I get replacement speed nuts to fix 97 TJ interior door pull?

These are not the same and don’t have nearly as much thread engagement, but as a last resort may work for you. I got a pack of them at Advance Auto Parts before I came across the original style online somewhere.

I have not looked (because I've worked on enough doors as a shade tree mechanic for friends and family), but I wonder if there is a comprehensive how-to on door builds. Plenty of "what do I need/where can I find" threads, but while I have everything in pieces, I'm contemplating compiling everything into a step by step plus where to buy for that sub forum if it hasn't been done.

I got a bunch of small hardware stuff from Morris 4x4 and Quadratec. Pretty high prices for what they were and I know a lot of people hate those two places, but I've never had a problem with any order. I do remember there was something I ordered from a non-jeep related site, but I can't remember what that something was or what the website was either. LOL

I posted a in the How-to forum on re-keying the lock cylinders if that's something you want to do. A lot of people don't just simply because a jeep with a soft top or half doors isn't the most secure set up anyway. I did it just because it would bug me if they didn't match the key.

Here's a few things.

@GoldenEagle , this should be what you need for the interior door pulls. Shows out of stock right now though.

One thing I couldn't find was the seals for the outer door handles. I got them at Morris 4X4. I found it on my order history but it wouldn't go to it anymore, so I'm guessing they have been discontinued.
Have everything but the extruded u nut. And the retainer nut. What is the retainer nut for?

It goes in the bottom of the door and the bottom screws on the door panel go into them; 2 per door. Kind of like front bumper nuts for a license plate, but an odd shape. Kind of rectangle/oval-ish.

Wellll. Lmao. I guess I need those. Alright. Got a speed nut for the pull strap. 4 retainer nuts and 2 extruded u nuts at 6 bucks a pop.

Also missing a tiny one for the (what I call the pull handle) strap. Figure those are easy to source given that I have 3 of the 4 and can just pull one to compare.
They extruded U-nuts for the door pulls are not normal for SAE and Metric threaded fasteners. They are for sheet metal screw threads, #8 if that matters. I have some if needed.

I picked up a similar speed nut today. With the minimal thread engagement compared to the extruded ones, I wonder how well its gonna work. Would rather assemble this once. Shoot me a message.
