Hitch mount cargo basket

I have the aluminum one from quadratec. It works and it's reasonably light as most of the weight is in the steel tubing that goes into the receiver hitch.

I have and used the HF basket mounted both front and rear (I added a hitch receiver to the front on my JKs). I was very happy with it. I just added a Bestop over tire cargo basket so the HF basket is sitting in the shed unused but if I were going hitch mounted, I would do HF again.

We bought a used one for $40 and it’s quite possibly the best $40 we have spent on the Jeep.
We even use it on our JKU when we tailgate, camp, etc.
It’s been loaded down with a pretty heavy stack of firewood and it has never been anything but reliable.

I made mine, better than anything on the market and cheaper too... I can carry a lot of weight and no anchor, since it goes up as soon as it clears the spare tire..

Bought a rack that is hinged so it can be folded upright against the spare tire. Can leave it hinged up when not in use and not fear someone tripping over it in a parking lot or forgetting it’s back there and crunching something. A bit of a pita to have to hinge down to open tailgate but a lot less effort than removing and reattaching a fixed rack

Was going to buy a harbor freight aluminum one but my neighbor gave me a steel one that I believe from harbor freight for a little ceasers pizza and some breadsticks.

Couldn’t pass up on that! Don’t really like using one but is certainly handy when needed

My go-to barter is a six of Sam Adams Cherry Wheat and a bag of Dorito's Nacho Cheese. But pizza and breadsticks would work too...
