So this is available used with a slight bend.

Curious, has anyone straightened one of these Currectlync’s?

For $100 it would be a pretty good backup if I could straighten it was my thought.

Absolutely it can be straightened, a 20 ton press is up to the job. I think a 12 ton might be up to it too if you know what you're doing. The Currie tie rod was specifically heat treated so it would be able to bend if the forces were great enough to break something further upstream. I slightly bent mine at least twice over the years and used a press to straighten it.

Perfect. Getting in Saturday, ha. along with a chrome CJ rear bumper....the joys of getting birthday money....and buying used parts, ha.

Crazy thought, but I'm curious if anyone has ever fitted one of these onto a CJ5.......hmmmm, ha.

Assuming one can, it's a recipe for bump steer and an understanding of why CJ and TJ steering designs are fundamentally different.

Buy it, straighten it, and when you have the funds get the BMB Chromoly

Definitely buy it. Mine has been bent and straightened multiple times before the switch to BMB.

For $100, for a full Currectlync and an extra tie rod, has to be a good backup for a long trip. Son out of college, other son now in Army, daughter about to go to college, finally gonna be able to do some trailer it up trips, ha.
