What did you do to your TJ today?

Dropped the new hardtop on the Jeep. Color looks good. Im glad I did the Hoist a Top, otherwise, my wife and I never would have been able to get this thing up high enough to get it installed. I had to remove the "rubicon rack" off the tire swing out to get the rear window closed but now that we're old with no kids, the back seat is removed and there is plenty of room for gear that might have gone on the "rubi rack".

This TJ Sport originally came with a black hard top that I sold many moons ago. Now I'm ready for hail storms and/or 100 degree weather that happen in this part of the world in summer.

That's a sort of retro looking top, I like it.

Niiiiice! I'm jealous over the sliding rear windows.

Well I will have knocked out next years phase 2 build plans by end of next week. Went into local Jeep shop by the house to discuss putting in new clutch and flywheel, previous owner had bought and never installed. Clutch wasnt noticeably bad, but vehicle had 85k miles and had been wheeled moderately previously so figured do it now and be done and have the boxes out of my garage. One conversation, and maybe lucky on my part turned into a clutch, regear and nearly brand new long arm kit he had just picked up for one of his project jeeps going into mine start of Monday. So before next friday, Jeep will be on long arm kit, tummy tuck, 4.88's and the originally planned new clutch. Like any project, my current jeep sits on 33's with 15x10's(PO selection), so to avoid looking like I skip leg day, Ill be ordering 35's and new wheels of my taste to go on. I guess I should probably start a build thread, name it "Don't tell the wife."

The below pictures were the sound deadening and bedrug install that I'm very happy with along with inner shift boot replacement which coupled with new console there is no discernible heat that I can feel now versus the inferno that it was prior to the boot replacement. Very happy with how this all turned out and inspiration came from here and the multiple threads on the topic.

Suggestion, IF its possible with your trailer: Change the trailer's lug nuts to match the Jeep. My little Carry-On has the exact same studs, cone angle, etc, etc as the Jeep, but for whatever reason the lugnuts needed a 13/16" socket. Apparently 13/16" is standard for these little trailers. In any event, I bought some Jeep acorn nuts that match its 3/4" socket. End of that problem and they look better too.

My trailer has the same size/thread studs as my Jeep, but the trailer's rims are Bassett racing rims (street legal with a shallow backspacing). These racing rims have a different cone angle, and it is almost impossible to find lug nuts with that cone angle except for large(er) racing open end lug nuts. I didn't know how hard it would be to find lug nuts with that cone angle when I got the rims. I think the Jeep's rims use a 60-degree angle lug nut, while my trailer's rims use a 45-degree lug nut (or its the other way around - it's been a while and I forget which is which).
