What did you do to your TJ today?

Been following the WTJF recipe for suspension upgrades. Went out and tested the suspension yesterday and was really impressed. I went places that I could not go with stock suspension and 31s and the breakover angle is amazing (to me) now. I'll be crawling under and checking for points of contact on the exhaust that was mentioned could happen with the tummy tuck.

This is called "Roller Coaster" and is a bunch of man made tank traps with bolders and logs as obstacles. I am hoping to get more vids from the other folks on the run and I'll post them up as I do.

And by work on, I mean steal whatever tool or fastener I currently need and inevitably set it down somewhere never to be seen again. One day I'm going to find a pile of sockets and bolts somewhere
That’s got to be one of Murphy’s Laws. The tool you most need is the one mostly likely to be misplaced.

My favorite is.. Any item dropped while working on a vehicle will automatically roll to the exact geographic center under the the vehicle.. just out of your reach.

Removed my grill cover to wax the red paint underneath. Thought about leaving it off, but too many rock chips for my liking. Red wax can only do so much.

I’ve been looking for a black wax stick for years. I had one years ago and have been unsuccessful finding a replacement. I know it’s somewhere in detailing stuff and as Murphy’s Laws would dictate.. It’s lost forever based on badly I want to find it. The OP installed grill inserts that I would love to remove but underneath is speckled with scratches from sand and such caught behind the plastic inserts.

Beven working on the same projects for the past few months. Refreshing the tailgate setup. Down to the final few bits. LEDs mounted under the Bestop InstaTrunk and another set on the bottom of the Bestop Cargo basket shining down on the what will be a tailgate table. Also adding another set of basket mounted aux reverse lights and all the needed quick disconnects since the basket isn’t installed full time. The Painless Performance CirKit 7 circuit setup is a huge benefit In tandem with the Auxbeam switch panel. Making it a breeze to get everything wired.

Crawled under it and checked for damage or just to see if there was anything odd from yesterday's adventure into the woods. Found this hitch hiked its way back to my house. No, I am not talking about the Prius. I drive that to work so I can afford to drive the Jeep.

@mrblaine had really good advice when he recommended control arm skid plates as a precaution. I am guessing it would have been "bad" getting hung up on that log and then pulled off without them. Thank you sir for that bit of advice.

Skinned that log like a cheese slicer.

Finally got around to the original purpose of today, giving it a bath.

From a Jeep newb.... starting yesterday I removed my hardtop to fit my new bikini top. Today.... watched it rain all inside it! Supposed to be sunny, so it should dry out tomorrow.

LOL nice, and welcome. I remember back when I had a CJ7, beautiful day, drove it to a business meeting feeling all happy with myself cause the top was down and it was sunny in Seattle. 1/2 way through the meeting I looked out the window to see it just downpouring so hard it took an hour after it stopped for the streets to drain off the flood water. Welcome to the Jeep life!

the best is getting in the jeep after a downpour with a bikini top. let the kiddos sit in the back and dump all that rainwater on them.

Yesterday reminded me why exhaust (and bodywork) are the bane of my car/Jeep work - I HATE both and they always find a way to hate me.

Yesterday - installed the next cats (from manifold to muffler) and old catback. Daimler in 05 just HATED us Jeep owners. Those mini cats are the worst thing ever on a Jeep - And my OPDA blew up my engine (so that's saying something)... Never stay tight and always break apart. YMMV

Today - Gravity bled entirely new brake system (still need a full pedal bleed) and inner fenders went it! (Much happier day). Antirock installed too - need to order shorter links.

Use the McMaster spacers @mrblaine recommends to get the antirock arm & bar perfectly aligned. Some flap disc work on the white inserts required but only a few secs in a few spots.

Still work on fenders to mount all those systems from the OEM fenders. Really wanted to drive before Tuesday...

Looking like maybe next week drivable as I switch priorities to my Twins 1st Bday party next weekend.
