Was talking Divco trucks with me dad. He told me the story of Gus his milkman. Gus used a Divco. My grandma and him grew up together. He knew where the key to the backdoor was. Delivered the milk right to the fridge. He did that all over his route. Took the empties with him. My mother was dating Gus' son before she met my father.

Sure is cool hearing me dad tell these great old stories.

I will admit that the Fox bodies are a cheap car to get into drag racing. Those darn thangs are everywhere at a drag strip.

Man, it used to be that way, but the prices on a Fox have shot up lately. Want to feel old? They make restoration parts for Fox bodies and 3rd gen Camaros now.

Well it make sense I guess , having a early 3gen would be like having a 55 Chevy in 1996. I still think of our 04 TJ and Tacoma as pretty new , then it hit me , I was a poor boy in high school and drove newer cars then than I do now.

I was in high school then. You could buy a pretty nice Fox body or 3rd gen for $1,5-2,500. I know a guy who struggled to sell a nice, low mileage '89 IROC -Z for $6-7,000 back then. Those '80s cars like fox bodies used to be everywhere at the local tracks because of that. I remember seeing at least one blown up, puking its guts every week in season. Now the prices for those cars has jumped and taken most of them away from hard abuse. Square body truck prices have done the same.

Fox bodies are FUGLY. They don't even look like a Mustang. Even the Mustang ][ looks (far) better.

I absolutely love fox bodies. Not a great looking car. It kinda like what people see in pugs. They have huge potential and are cheap to modify. I settled on buying a ‘95 mustang but originally wanted a fox. I’d get one in a heart beat.

Let’s be honest, there wasn’t a lot of good looking cars back in the 80’s and early 90’s. They were all boxes on wheels.
