What did you do to your TJ today?

Getting ready to add something to the garage.

damn and I've been complaining about the 14-15 I'm getting ! guess I'm spoiled by the 18+ I get in my Sahara ....

Must be the colour matched flares on that Sahara that give you less wind resistance 😂

Gonna ask here. What Black Max shocks for a 4" lift? Overwhelmed on the search function for a specific answer. Please help if you know.

I had the same issue when I put in my Currie/Savvy 4" lift within the past year. Many different answers - and that's the answer. You need to flex your suspension with the tires on and the springs removed. Measure to find out what is best for your rig.

With my 1.25" BL and 4" SL with GR 4" flare tube fenders, I went with:

Front: B8549
Rear: B8563

Here's the data I collected on my setup as an example of what you should do to find out what is right for you. [Your measurements will be different than mine - data here is for reference as an example]

There’s no way I did this to figure out which 5000’s to buy.

As you can see on the SJ recommended height lift - any company is giving a best guess on which shock will fit your lift. But we see lifts give 0.5-1" of extra lift regularly.

I wanted a 50/50% up/down travel that minimized travel in either direction.

Best way is to flex it out so you ensure the shocks aren't limiting your droop.

If they're undersized for the up travel & you don't have the right bump stop... the shock will let you know at that point... 💥
