I have a pair of bumper tow bar mounts that are yours for the asking. Not sure if they'll work with your setup, but if so, you're welcome to them. They were installed on an OEM bumper I picked up.

Great product from Metal Clioak as always. Bolted right up and provides a clean simple solution to pesky problem. Now I have a strong point to mount recovery shackles or my towbar. I love it.

I purchased a 08 Jeep Grand Cherokee to flat tow behind my motorhome, and a friend of mine has the hi mount shackles on his TJ. So i thought I would try a set to connect my tow bar to. Even though they weren't made for the Grand, I unbolted the front tow hooks and they bolted right in. And I just got back from a 1500 mile trip and low and behold the grand was still back there. Thanks Metalcloak for a very high quality product. I have installed A LOT of Metalcloak products (on my other jeeps and friends jeeps) and everything is exceptional quality and fit!!

Yeah I was also seeing those. It doesn't seem like flat towing is all that hard on your mounts?
Also seeing all the posts about it working on non-TJs makes it seem like you don't need their bumper

Thanks man. Looks like those curt ones. I'm leaning towards the metal cloak ones for now I like how I don't need stuff on the front face of the bumper to use them unlike other options
They'd essentially be the same concept as the Currie ones except on top of the bumper.

Mine sits on some sawhorses with the jacks extended enough to balance it without holding much weight
You'll also need a way to mount safety chains. You'll want redundancy.

The sawhorses work and are great for at home.
Some campgrounds will allow you to take your camper off if you ask. With your issues I understand not wanting to pull it off unless you're at home.
You'll want to connect the cables to the frame somewhere different than where the towbar is connected at. I'm not sure how you'd connect the cables to the oval holes in the frame though.

Yep lol I am so nervous to put it back on the truck. At least the new jacks I bought are a lot sturdier. I need to get the MR2 done so I can leave it on the truck most of the summer lol
Yeah if I get the metalcloak ones they'll bolt to the top of the frame rails and I was thinking chains through holes in side. I don't know if the hooks in these cables will fit, I have chains where I think they will. But then I can't use the fancy cable-channels in the "off-road" tow bar
This doesn't work if you have a Antirock or Swayloc, but I ran a chain threw the front crossmember to mount my safety cables to.

Thanks, I do have an antirock though. I'll see if I can get the chain hooks through the frame in a bit here
The hooks are supposed to be used on the tow vehicle end and the carbineer is supposed to be hooked to the towed vehicle.
If you could run a short cable or piece of chain thru the frame and then connect the cables to that?

Oh. I'll see what fits where after work. I have one safety chain I bought for the engine hoist lol. These cables it came with has a carabineer on one side and a clip/hook on the other.
Here’s a pic of the brackets we made that slip over the stock bumper and the bolts are in shear. Clevis mounts on the bottom for safety chains. Bracket hanging there we made to adapt the Blue-ox tow bar to the clevis mounts.

I used those, but on a bumper that was 3/16" thick, and I made plates for the back side of the bumper. I used one of those simple $100 tow hitches. Worked, but a PITA to get hooked up, especially if you're doing it yourself.
I will be upgrading to a Roadmaster or similar and get the shackle adapters.
