The unfortunate TJ of the day thread

Saw this at the local TSC, looked good from the back…… Butter Face? 😂😂
Maybe the guy is into trains

I just realized the angry face isn't a plastic fascia, it's all part of the bumper, fairlead mount and all. That thing has to weigh a literal ton

Saw this picture on a sale ad on Facebook. I'd feel sorry for anyone who had to rely on those belts.

You must be against guns too?

I think you'll find that statement couldn't be farther from the truth. There isn't a single anti-gun argument that holds water when logic and common sense is applied...and that's about all I have to say on that subject in a public internet forum... ;)

But hey, if a duck covered Jeep TJ isn't a harbinger of the apocalypse, I don't know what is. :sneaky:

It would be, if it were real. It isn't.

And FYI - given the number of stupid looking jeeps we all see on the road, the apocalypse arrived a long time ago .. found a girlfriend, got married, has a couple boys who are now running amok :)

That said, AI can go feck itself. No need for it, useless as teats on a boarhog. ;)

The hood of my TJ once had a CAT logo sticker, removed before I bought it but left damage to the paint so you could still see it like a ghost. Having no artistic ability I used AI to generate an image and then used another AI to upscale without lost of detail and had it made into an automotive sticker to put over the top. Quicker, easier and cheaper than getting the hood resprayed.

I used AI to generate a wallpaper for my Sony head unit. See here:

Two things you likely could have done with image editing software yourself in a short period of time. Learn a new skill if you don't know how. Too busy (or something else?), get a friend/family member with the skill set to do it.

I'm sorry, but your reasons sound akin to those used by people to justify willfully placing an active listening device in the privacy of their own homes (Alexa) or having a car that monitors them via multiple internal microphones and cameras (Tesla) for safety reasons. I mean, abuse of that tech hasn't been demonstrated...oh...wait... ;)

Maybe ask yourself some questions. How have we managed to survive to this point, to live happy and productive lives without these things? Are they really that helpful and convenient? Or have we just become more lazy and complacent? And even if the argument could be made that they are helpful and convenient in some way, are these supposed gains worth what you are potentially giving up?

At the risk of sounding a Luddite, while I accept these technologies could be used for good purposes, a quick review of human history surely would indicate they will most definitely be abused by others, and to everyone's cost whether they use it or not. AI is not being developed for your benefit, it's just being sold to you that way and all you see is the benign face of it...but I have little doubt you and others here will disagree.

Opinions vary and everyone has them, informed opinions are another matter entirely. Not trying to give you shit, just asking you to think. :)
