Today's Rant

There's enough blame to go around.

Washington sent troops after whisky distillers.

Jackson was an absolute jerk to first nation people.

Lincoln invented trashing the Constitution through executive orders.

Wilson started the process that ultimately killed the dollar and led to the UN.

FDR normalized the nanny state.

The list goes on.

I've noticed a pattern though, whenever there is a major crises the American citizen seems to get behind and cheer actions by strong Presidents. Ethics and Laws be damned. 15 years later the actions everyone cheered at the time starts coming back and biting us in the ass.

...and here we are.

BTW - if anyone is interested, this shitshow will be fixed for the wife and I by Saturday afternoon. At least until the next colossal avalanche of stupidity happens along. Plans, within plans, within plans...

Wilson was horrid, and FDR was too. But as far as the original subject, there are mail forwarding services that will give you a "real" address.

Yes, there are several service providers available that will do that. I was / am currently using a small, local provider who until recently provided excellent service. There was a management change in the office recently, and then these new USPS regs came along. A frank, face to face discussion with the owner, some paperwork shuffling, and presto - change-o! All is right with the world.

I know you already found your solution. Mine was to use the street address of the post office and my PO box as an "apartment number"

So, instead of:
PO box 1234
Tinytown, USA 90210


I write it:
8675309 Jenny Rd.
Apt. 1234
Tinytown, USA 90210

Nobody has caught on yet.
