This is a 1943 Ford 1,100CID 500 HP Hemi Sherman Tank Engine with triple carbs.

There were 2 Stromberg carbs, one each on the end of the intake. Known as the Ford GAA engine had a flat plane crank and DOHC. It put well over 1000lbs of torque from idle to 2200 RPM and 500 HP at 2600. It's a shame we had to wait til 1971 to get an OHC in a car for the masses. But when Uncle Sam is paying for the war machines there is no limit on the budget for research and development.

It must be, my daughter got pulled over in Johnson County, NC last week. She won't tell us the speed she was going but she was given speeding with reckless driving tickets so we know it was at least 20 over the limit. She will have to deal with the attorney, we are already getting lawyer letters here in NY looking to defend her. Lawyers must be cheap down there, seems the going rate is $100 - $150 to go in and get it knocked down to a non moving violation. I think the state just wants the $200+ court fee, even the fine for 20+ over is only $50. As long as there are no points transferred to her NY license, My insurance does not have her listed.

That is cheap. Must be a bunch of hungry law students hanging round. My last speeding ticket was down in Wilmington 20 some years ago. 75 in a 55 is what he wrote. That cost me something around $800 back then, plus 2-3 insurance points, which was around a 40% increase for a year.

My last speeding ticket was in 1994 & I was coming back from a National Guard meeting so it was after 10 PM and I was on a back country road between Milton-Freewater & Pendleton, OR and I got nailed for 70 in a 45. I think it cost me $250. I won't fight a ticket if I'm in the wrong...
WA doesn't do the points on your license.

They must do them in bulk, sit with the DA for a bunch of people at once? There are so many firms that seem to do this. I just don't need any points showing up in NY, the rate increase on 6 cars will kill. Already paying $5600 total per year.
