2004 Cummins 4BT Swap - 5-Speed Tremec 4050 - NP 205

You asked what the purpose of this build was probably to roll it up in nutshell a bullet proof expedition vehicle and also a test bed for either a 4 or 6 bt going in an older Landcruiser Wagon one of the FJ 55 and up or maybe an older Land Rover series II 88 or defender or possibly an old mid 70's ford F250 high boy

Interesting. Thanks.

Found a bad Outer Shaft Retaining ring. Turns that the retaining ring grove on the input shaft was available in 4 different thicknesses
.088
.091
.094
and
.097
Someone had been into this T-case before and used the wrong thickness retaining ring, so I have ordered a 4 pack of one each to get the right one

Didn't want to spring for one of the fancy aluminum cases I'm guessing?

That sucks but you're getting good at the disassembly and assembly part.

No picked on up off EBay for 90.00 plus 150 for ship

I keep looking for a used one near me that I can have on hand in case my t-case takes a shit on me but most around here are going for $300+. But I do plan on grabbing one at some point. Then a doubler from NWF and I'll have it as a back up.

Literally had the case torn completely down in about 10 minutes

You really are getting good at it.

What are you using for T-Case and Doubler

I've got the STaK's 3 speed transfer case right now but they had a problem with popping out of double low. Mine wasn't before it was parked but I'm just trying to plan a head now. So if I was to get a 205 and a crawler box from NWF to go in front of it I could have close to the same double low I have now.
I have 3.05 low & 5.44 double low.

2.72 crawler box that only adds 5.35" to your length.
