Reliable fuel pump brand?

"I opened a box and it looks like a fuel pump. This thing is friggin sweet!"

I'm curious as to what kind of robotic influence reviews have.

Especially Duralast. @TheBoogieman stay away from Duralast. Their reviews on parts are neither here nor there. I can't stand Dontlast parts. They might as well smash piss and shit together, charr the fuck out of it, stamp it to a metal plate, and call it a brake pad.

My thoughts are really simple...if it's all Chinese junk, why not just buy the cheapest Chinese junk you can buy?

I tried rebuilding my Mopar pump. Plastics are just too far gone. Love to have a three axis CNC machine to make a new billet one...or a lathe...but here I am.

Makes me wonder how many Chinese companies actually make these pump assemblies...it is just one or two or three and a four year old is slapping a different sticker on it as it goes into the shipping container?

I got a 3D printer. I'll make Ohioan junk. A lot of those RockAuto Chinese companies are sorta weird. They do slap stickers on a lot of other parts. Some may be OEM, other Chinese brands. I don't really understand it. I read about it somewhere when I was looking at if SKP had a good enough hub to put on my Jeep. Mixed reviews. I did it anyways.

But yeah, a four year old across the globe is slappin stickers on random parts. I think that's why we all have mixed reviews on suspension components, sensors, pumps.

"I got tapped in the rear at a McDonald’s drive-through."
Finding it hard to believe that AndyG’s pervert friends are leaving this tee’d up post alone!
@John Cooper and friends were told to forget the incident since AndyG pressed charges on the offender. 🤫

9 years on my Delphi this August, no issues.

Wild guess Delphi has a completely different manufacturer, supply chain and quality process.

That's the hard part about long term reviews... there's no such thing as long term any more.

I bought a set of DeWalt boots. They didn't suck. Ordered another pair in black for dress boots...same brand, same make...six months later... completely different manufacturer slapped a DeWalt sticker and they're not even close to the same product.

What I look for when replacing OEM parts that are NLA is a manufacturer who has a stake in the game such as Delphi who is an OEM provider for numerous new vehicles. I think it helps. It's looking like a lot of manufacturing will be shifting to India with all the crap going on with China, been quite a bit in the news.

Ever hear about binning?

Chip manufacturers do it. The good ones are the fast ones and the ones that don't pass quality tests get sold as lower performing chips.

Want to guess Delphi and other manufacturers do something similar? Cherry pick the good parts for their long term relationship OEMs?

Costco used to do that too...they'd buy the lot before and after a manufacter had a quality issue on the line. Got cut rate prices. For years if you told a warranty person "I bought it at Costco" they'd either hang up or explain there was no manufacturers warranty.

I asked for a quote since my back is screwed up.......I'll wait until I feel better or just take pain killers.

"To replace the fuel pump assembly would be about $675 parts and labor. Without seeing the vehicle that is a rough estimate, depending on the condition of the Jeep, rust etc. it could very well be more. Towing it here would be another $120.

For 60 bucks, this is great for raising and lowering tanks.
