What did you do to your TJ today?

No recipe as it was bought from the local bakery…. But it did have pork belly and potatoes if that helps ?! 😂😂

Ha Ha, somehow it looks like they made up the potatoes and folded it around the rest of the stuff and then baked it. Well sort of looks like that from the picture. Or everything was cooked and then it was browned on top somehow, Either way it looks tasty.

Changed out to Sony radio.
Thanks Andy A for the excellent write up. In the “how to section”. Didn’t need to cut the sub dash just the brackets as you had done. Works great! Also added some Bullet point mounts.

Bought mint condition 1/2 doors last week for $300. Round trip of 6+ hours but panels match as well.

Looking forward to taken off the hard top and full doors!

Decided to stop obsessing over which rock sliders to get and pulled the trigger on CavFabs. They look to cover 90% of all the important design features called out in the various forum pages and I can weld in the extra spacers and fab a backing plate for them. Thanks to @bluescapegoat and the pics he posted, I have a good head start. I did ask CavFab if they would leave the front a little long in hopes of covering all the way to the front WW. We will see what shows up.

Well, I'm stiff futzing with getting the upper panels to fit the inserts, and the replacement skins are due this week, but whatever.

I think this half door makeover is pretty much done.

A little longer in the front would be great! That reminds me I want to pull mine back off and trim the rear shorter and weld an end plate on

Meanwhile I quit obsessing about where to put my license plate and just drilled some new holes. I mean, what's two more holes through the tub at this point

Haven’t owned this Jeep long. Warn bumpers. Rear tire carrier started sagging to the
Lint I couldn’t close it. Pulled the bumper off, broken bolts and all. Shimmed the tire carrier at the hinge as well as the hinge bracket and painted everything with Krylon Fuzion flatte black textured paint.

Compression tested my four banger. Looks like rings in cylinder 1 might are bad. PSI jumped up from 150 to 170 psi from dry to wet tests…

Results in my thread:

Sluggish Acceleration

Wish they exported the 4 cylinder out here… i’d buy one for my daughter as there is no way she afford to run the 6..
Good luck mate

Are 4.0 exports that expensive out there? Honestly, the 2.4 has a lot less “support” from what I’ve seen and experienced. It was a PITA for my dad to find a replacement engine for his 06 2.4.

Thanks i appreciate it. This has been a challenge

Six cylinders are the only ones you can get here…. I don’t think they exported the four cylinders at all.
It’s more the price of petrol that would see me buy one for my daughter….. my 4.0L has a serious drinking problem 🥴
