Looking for some honest feedback and/or opinions (lord help me) in regards to Coil Spring manufacturers. I have been reading so many posts in regards to suspension lifts that my mind is starting to swim with all the opinions & options available out there. I do realized & agree with the old phrase "You get what you pay for". I just read through this post and now I'm stumped again... https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/zone-lift-18-months-later.2832/ 😵‍💫

So in short, what are the best, most recommended coil springs for longevity in the 2.5"-3" lift range? Max tire size is 33's. Already have SYE in box. And ready to order the Adj UCA's. Intended use will 70% road, 30% off-road; nothing crazy mostly moderate off road.

BTW, this is for my 97, which I'm assembling & gearing the Super 35 this weekend.

Thanks in advance!

Nobody here really cares about those questions. They just get springs that will give them the amount of lift they want. No one can tell you longevity of a spring/lever because no one has the same conditions and QC is an unknown. Don’t worry about it. Just get the springs you want. Focus on shocks.

Good to know, lol

Seems to be the majority consensus is for Currie. A few others thrown in here and there from all I've been reading.
Springs for height, Shocks for ride comfort. Thanks for the replies, I appreciate it.

I've had BDS and Rock Krawler without any issues (other than wanting more height).
Although, I eventually ended up with Currie.

Old Man Emu. Some people complain that they have too many options to choose from (lift amount, light vs heavy, etc). The alternative is to buy from a company which made those decisions for you and you get no options. Take your pick.

I find it weird that springs don’t affect ride quality, only shocks

It is a well covered topic. In order to design a spring that will fit, provide a desired ride height, and have sufficient spring travel there can only be a very narrow range of options with very little difference between them.

This is why the thick heavy dump truck springs you have in your head as an option are not a valid suggestion. They do not fit the criteria as a spring that would fit the application outside of what they were designed for.

Why only the upper control arms? that will shorten your wheelbase.

I have had good results with BDS but I am going to currie/rockjock in the near future to increase travel without unseating the coils. note, this is only a concern if your shocks are capable of extending past the spring free length.

Availability of funds and being able to at least get it off jack stands. LCA's are on the short list. Of course, I could just put the sagging stock suspension back in and just wait until all parts are in hand... Then just be "one & done".

But are we ever just "One & Done" with our Jeep's ?

my rubicon express has been great... I have core 4x4 arms, JKS trackbars, antirock, rancho shocks, so far... I think the springs are the only thing that I'm not planning to upgrade in the near future... BUT... if you dont like the rake of the jeeps... you should buy an inch taller in the front springs against the rear ones...
