Saw the Toadies live and got to hang out on the bus. Great dudes, but may be vampires.
I swear that the lead singer, Ed Kowalczyk, looks like he should be in a Guy Ritchie film.

Thanks for bumping this thread. I just went back and read everything again starting at page 1. Lots of good stuff in here.
This one was always kinda weird to me, but I enjoy watching the video associated with the song. Mid-'90s, if'n I recall correctly. All in all, a rather obscure song.
I have been vaguely aware of this album for nearly forever and finally listened to it. For those with a high tolerance for weird, it will be a fun roller coaster. It might be folk/bluegrass. There is even a song about Nick Cave in it!

If you're a fan of Zeppelin, then this album might be something you'd want to look into. I'm not one that typically goes for tribute albums, but I bought this when it came out (mid-90s, sometime) and it quickly became a favorite. 30-ish years later, and I'm still a huge fan of the album.
Huge fan of Zeppelin! I think the STP song is Dancing Days iirc. Great cover! Don't recall hearing the others. I think there was a live Page/Plant album that came out around that time that was really good too.
A couple of the songs on the album remain pretty true to the originals (STP's "Dancing Days", for example), but some other artists put their own spin on the songs, without straying so far out that the songs are rendered either unrecognizable, or unenjoyable. Can't think of a single song on the album that I don't enjoy, and again, I can highly recommend it Zep fans.
Huge Zeppelin fan as well. This is a fantastic album; worth checking out for any Zep fan.
I'm going to have to look for that CD. I know I used to have it. Haven't listened to it in probably 20+ years. I remember it was a great album.
Not this tour, but I did see the Black Crowes at the Greek during their first album tour. I remember it was one of the first rock shows that I went to where people were staying in their seats most of the time, not standing and jumping around like a metal show. Very memorable show because it's a pretty small venue and it was just one of those perfect shows that had a great relaxed vibe to it.
