It's a type of immobilizer. Pull the clip portion and it won't start

Claude seems to think it's most likely a battery maintainer. But I want to learn more about 12V heated clothing. 
This appears to be a 2-pin accessory power connector, most commonly used as the cabin-side connector for one of the following aftermarket accessories:

Follow the cable:
- If it goes directly to the battery (possibly through an inline fuse): it's almost certainly for a battery maintainer or general 12V power.
- If it goes through a relay or switch: it may have powered an accessory.
- If it disappears toward the firewall and then to the front bumper/grille: it could have been for a block heater or external charger connection that someone relocated.

It is and not one of good ones. It is one of those that the dealers pay 50 bucks installed and then try to collect 500 from the buyer for.
