JMT Wildfire Relief

Goodness... Trying to find words but everything seems to come up short. I can’t pretend to know what it’s like standing in front of what’s left, but I do know you don’t have to stand there alone. Sending prayers and positive energy your way, if that's okay. We can gather up some clothes and essentials when/if you have an address we can mail to..

So kind, all of you. We are so taken care of. I can’t believe it. Thank you all.

Dang Jeremy! Fire is a cruel bitch! So glad you and your family are safe. We are constantly on high alert here. it's 110* here as I type this. I have soft top parts for you when the time comes. Our prayers go out to you, your family, and your neighbors my friend. PM me if you need anything.

You've shown incredible strength throughout this tragedy.

God will find a way through this for you and your family. It's excellent that you have a close-knit church community to support you all in this tragic time.

As this thread has shown, the Jeep community is here for you and your family - local and afar. Let us know how we can help!

You and your family will be in my family's prayers.

Thank you for all your prayers and gifts.

We were able to close on a home late afternoon today. It has been a grueling week with no complaints. Just a few frustrating moments where we all came back together. God has been so good through His people, many of them from this forum. We can never thank you enough

We have a long way to go. It’s good news we don’t have to move anything, but difficult to imagine we don’t have simple things like a drill or box cutter, much less beds, couches, and a TV. All in time I suppose.

Thank you for kindness.

Great to hear, Jeremy.

I am trying to find a Milwaukee Bundle to get started again. I had Hercules before, but I figure just go with Milwaukee. So many more tool options.

If anyone can suggest a good starting point BUNDLE let me know. Memorial Day coming up so could wait for more secondary, but primary basic tools for interior home.

I can’t read pages of posts. I’m barely surviving every day, so if I’m asking too much for a few basic posts then I get it, but I won’t be able to do it and will just have to make a guess and go.

I need to know stuff like do I just go with M18 fuel? Any bundles worth buying?

I don’t have any specific deal recommendations, but I’d stick with the Fuel option (whether M12 or M18). There are several advantages to the Fuel lineup, and it’s all I buy these days, unless there’s no Fuel option. I personally prefer most things in M18, but some things are only available in M12.

We moved into our new place in Jan. (obviously not the same thing) if I needed it now, starting over, buy it once I’d start here for ~1,500

M18 fuel
Circ saw
Hackzall
1/2 hammer drill
1/4 impact driver
Work light
2 batteries and charger

18 Fuel 2.5 ga shop vac + battery

“12 fuel installation driver kit
Bit gimmicky but the off set and right angle attachments are great and not every hole needs a 1/2 hammer drill and it’s super light.

I usually see good deals on Home Depot deals of the day or week.

Stick with HD or a reputable retailer with a physical location. WAY too many scams and chinesium knockoffs when you go online sale through anything but a retailer with a physical location. That includes things like Amazon where fakes seem to be high-quality and sold through their sites...

But I do buy a bunch of my Milwaukee from HD online without a concern - and usually get it quick delivered from the local store (same day or next day).

If it looks too good, stop and spend more to know it's from Milwaukee.

I've also done the same and dove into the Milwaukee family, M12 & M18.

I'm going to go into HD and see if they can cut me some pre-Labor day sales. It would be nice to have a good starter set for around the house.

Giving everything that's going on. I really hope store will give you a deal. Be sure to talk to somebody in charge and not just a floor operator.

So glad you and your family are safe! I always enjoy reading about you updates and insights. Helps to make this world feel a bit smaller at times in a good way through a shared interest.

Take care rebuilding. Amazing to see this community come together. This is a great corner of the internet!
