What did you do to your TJ today?

Yes, I didn’t want to go too crazy with her mods, just enough to make her look a little more sassy.

Same, stock JK tires on the 2.5 lift, flat fenders wanna go to 33s but I might just upgrade to the rubicon takeoffs from a JK because their not too small, just enough to give it a proper look and functionality, also considering stock gears

Unexpected rear brake job . Went out to the Jeep this morning and during the usual quick visual inspection underneath, noticed that half of the inboard pad on the drivers side rear was hanging down wedged between the rotor and shield. Have no idea where the other half of the inboard pad is. Oddly enough, had no grinding/squealing noises to indicate there was a problem.

Well done for catching that....could have been allot more expensive and unsafe.

Yeah, I thought about the Rubicon wheels, but wanted something lighter in color.

My husband told me tonight that Poppy was my mid-life crisis! And my whole bucket list too..meaning that I was putting all my money into her! Haha

At 19, had a brand new, baby blue CJ5; had to sell her when the Air Force sent me to northern Italy. I’ve always wanted another Jeep, so here we are.

OBTW, I see you’re from Tampa. I’m a Florida girl, originally, grew up in Gainesville and Lakeland.

Would love to see some more shots of this
More shots of the wheels & tires? Or more shots after I install the new soft top, headlights & fog lights? I will tell you, I am a complete novice and scared to even attempt the soft top. Will have to watch a few You Tube videos.

Can't go wrong with more shots of both! I'm also learning there can never be too many pictures around here!
Oh and btw, thank you for your service.

Thanks, and your welcome! It was the best 23 years of my life! haha. Such difficult assignments... Myrtle Beach AFB, Italy, San Antonio (twice), England (twice), Germany and Panama City, FL. Loved every assignment, loved the military, loved it all! Would do it again...in a heartbeat.

Yeah their money pits alright. And I see you couldn’t get away from the Jeep scene! I feel like it would always pull you back into it no matter the distance

About the only thing I did was try and figure out why I now have a ticking noise coming from the engine [emoji35]. I wrapped up the engine bracket/mount replacement last night and now today have a tick that speeds up and slows down with the rpm. Could I have cracked an intake manifold when I lifted the engine with my Jack?

It is alwas possible. You can try shooting carb cleaner around the intake. If there is a leak your rpm will jump. But it could also be exhaust manifold. I do not envy you.

Whoops, I meant exhaust manifold I'm not sure why I typed intake manifold. What I thought was going to be a simple project is turning in to a big one!

We are regearing my 03 Rubicon right now since it has 33" tires , man am I excited .

Gonna seat em in tonight I hope .

Or exhaust manifold.

Wow thats a clean TJ. Keep em coming, love looking at clean TJ’s.
Yeah, that’s one of the things I love about Poppy. Sure she has some scratches, a ding on the hood and some spots on the carpet in the cargo area, but overall she looks pretty good. I’m impressed with the condition of her seats, no stains, no tears, not faded...
