What did you do to your TJ today?

What does your jeep have for padding and carpet? The VA has a good class on Tinitus, I took it when I got my 1 hearing aide.
It had just the basic carpet kit. No padding under whatsoever. Nothing on the firewall, no vibration dampening anywhere.
Yeah I've gotta get my hearing checked again too for the whole 3M lawsuit.

Well, I got bored so I decided since the weather was so nice, I would go and paint my mirror stems. I forgot to take a before pic, but if you look at Geep4me's pics a few pages back, mine looked like that. LOL

I should have spent a little more time on the driver side, but they didn't come out to bad. I may take the driver side back off and do a second coat, but for now it works. :D

Do the mirror too. Go big or go home. I love your purple.

I sure hope you got some pictures of your TJ with that background, oh, and your family too.
My wife got pics of the kids. They're 20 and 22. I'm (irrationally) deathly afraid of heights so when I heard something about pushing somebody I had to back off from the edge. Most jeep I got in a pic was this one.

Or this one.

We'll go back, maybe in monsoon season or earlier in the snow melt. There's also a 4wd climb up Merriam crater that created the falls that we skipped this time. We're just getting started.

I too am deathly afraid of heights we have that in common.

I want to go where you are? Where is that?

I bought all of the equipment on ebay. The shifter handle was easy to install. Just remove your console and there is a pin and a spring holding it in place. If you can’t find the shifter available keep checking ebay. Seems like they sell out and then make more. I ran into this issue. The shifter knobs are from SickSpeed and they didn’t show one of them in black & red on their website so I sent them an email and they were happy to make it. I spent $30 for the handle and about $55 for both knobs. Really happy with the look and feel. Don’t want to brag but I believe my shifting has improved…

I think I should have black & red shift knobs too. I like the change on the transfer case lever.

Did you spray that with a rattle can or roll it on? What kind of paint? Looks good.
First coat was brushed on....RustBullet Automitive rust inhibitor. It was a bit difficult to lay down smooth by brush. I online ordered rattle can paint from "Automitive Touch Up" paint from Microfinish LLC. 2 coats of primer (colored to match base coat), 2 coats of base coat (painted matched to jeeps original color code), 3 coats of gloss clearcoat. Primer and clear coat are $10 / 12oz can. Color matched base coat is $20/ can. Paint went on easy. The color match was spot on. I even used the base and clearcoat direct over my cargo area top rail with no color contrast differences. I will be purchasing more to touch up paint parts of the exterior. Cheers.

I chopped my front bumper. Whenever I see this style bumper it looks like a mustache to me and I wanted a different look. Took the grinder and sawzall to it, sprayed it and bolted it back on. Also worked on the JK turn signal in the the grill. I don't like the orange lens so I have a set of the newer clear lens coming in the next day or two to fill in the holes.

Grand Falls. About an hour east of Flagstaff.

You can see a lot without getting close to the edge. It dries up almost completely so you have to catch the snowmelt or right after a storm.
