02 Turbo TJ Rubican't

Damn I got all 6 reconditioned for the price of two! And h guarantees them
As long as you can get that injector data.

If you're using HPTuner would you be willing to send me a copy of your stock file? Or upload it to the repository? There are only 05 and 06 stock tunes on there.

I just looked at what they are supposed to send me
It says x3 SCT device I assume it’s because it’s an 02. It says for 04 and up it an HP Tuner

It was a metal impregnated one but I have a feeling the header itself won’t last long so I’ll probably go back to the stock manifold at that point...
What year is yours? Just wondering if it's JTEC or NGC, mine's NGC3. I'd like to get my hands on a JTEC HPTunes files to see the differences between the two. I've got a friend with a JTEC I'm trying to convince to go the turbo route. And that should be what Kevlarr has as well.
I have a 2005 with NGC3. Very similar menus as the Cherokee SRT8, and Neon SRT4.

I have no issues with the new header... just had to upgrade to the Fel-Pro full metal gasket.. the pressures between the engine and turbo are great, and blow out the gasket in the kit with in a week.

Just wondering, since HPTuners lists the 97-04 as compatible with the MPVI2. Yet nobody seems to use it.

You do all the tuning yourself or have somebody else do it? Seems pretty straight forward, scale the map sensor and injectors.

Yes I am... support can be tough.. its WAY MORE than just that... I have the time to tune everytime I drive. I will get a tuner involved to fine tune.

I do recommend tuning the engine with the new injectors first (turbo by passed), then involve the turbo for the mods.

Well Ryan finally got ahold of me today from FRP Tuning. I had to send the injector part numbers so he could figure out what base tune to send me with the X3 SCT device. Then I guess I just plug it in and blow flames out of my ass pipe. Woohoo! EXCITED!!!😁😁😁. I was trying to get it all done before King of the Hammers this week but that’s just not gonna happen. But when He gets it dialed I could send you the finished program. Don’t know if your device will read it but you never know...

View attachment 138331Injectors. I actually think they are 34’s. They are six hole but all the charts I’ve looked at that are close say 4 hole...

I got a recommendation for and ordered a set of Bosch 0280156201 from an Injector shop, and ordered an SRT4 map sensor.

Did you purchase from FRP first before emailing him? I've been waiting a while on his recommendations on what to get. I was going to have him do the tuning, originally. I still will if he gets back to me, but obviously I've moved on with ordering parts.

Or alternatively, I have a tune from a major manufacturer's turbo kit for the same year Jeep already that I can use as a good starting point. And I think it runs the same injectors and map.

I put in my order and waited. A month went by and finally he called. He said he has been sick with the flu for two weeks. I ordered a custom tune and a tuner. When I get everything together he sends me the tuner with a base tune on it . It then records the Jeep getting driven for a certain amount of time. I download and email the data to him he analyzes it and sends me back an adjustment and so on till it’s right. Costs about $800 For the tuner and custom tunes

Also just to give an honest picture of this eBay kit. The boost pipes are fine if you are using as intended and everything goes where it’s supposed to but... remember I chose to plumb in a larger inter-coolEr in front of my fan so I tried to modify the very thin stainless boost pipe with not much luck. So I found some heavier wall stainless and started over. I’m now practicing my tig

at it so at this point I’ll just hit it with the MiG. It won’t be pretty but it will be strong and not have any leaks..
