What did you do to your TJ today?

Painted a set of half doors I picked up cheap to match my ride. And......hit the big 100,000. My baby’s growing up 🎉😢 (proud father) lol

Let's here what you've done to your TJ today!

I'll start by saying I gave her the biggest, most thorough cleaning possible!
Ordered a new windshield for it.

Hubby an I were on our way to pick up lunch and got to the area where all the homeless camps are under the freeway on Roseville road. All of a sudden we got hit by a ton of rocks. Hubby got hit in the arm and my windshield is toast as you can see by the pics. In the pics below I circled the rocks. I just noticed as I was typing this, you can see more rocks behind the red circle to the right of it.

Hubby called the police to report it, and they came to his work a couple hours later to take my report. Obviously with no picture of the guy they can't do anything, but at least it is reported and its a start to having complaints on those people. Of course I have told my story to every FB and Twitter new page and county/city page I could think of. I also emailed and treated the governor about it. LOL

I had hubby's kid order me a windshield but we have decided to wait on having him install it till the homeless are gone from under the overpass.

That’s so annoying. In LA it’s always a possibility that can happen too. So many camps out here. Scared to park my Jeep anywhere near them. And with no doors or trail doors? Forget it!

Today and last night:

4 New BFG KO2 33x12.50R15 and alignment at my buddies tire shop.

Then I did the following:

New Energy Suspension Poly rear sway bar kit with grease points (what a pain in the ass)
Greased everything and checked all fluids, set tire pressure down to 30 for now.
New JVC head unit KD-X470BHS (Had all stock factory 7 speaker system and head unit)
4x New Polk DB522 with adapter plates in dash, metra harness
Sound Ordnance M350-1 amp under drivers seat
Kicker 43CWRT672 sub woofer in factory enclosure
Picked up a winch accessory kit.

Sounds decent enough. Way better than stock for sure. The factory sub was completely toast, in fact the harness was unplugged when I pulled the console.

Headed to Disney Oklahoma in the morning with some friends for my first off-road adventure. I will be taking it easy. Need to make it back home in one piece.

On a better note, today I got it ready for summer weather. :D

I also got to try my new window storage. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I have always stored them flat, so rolling them up was kind of hard to do. I just like that they are in nice felt type blanket material on in on nice package.

I don't plan on taking them with me. I just wanted a nice small package to keep them in so they are easier to store away at the house.

I have one of those Clover Patch rolls and really like it if I want to take the windows with me.

If I have my windows off, but not with me in the Jeep, I use some of those plastic clothes hangers that have the spring loaded clips and attach them to the fabric/zipper part of the windows (2 per window) and hang them on the wall on some hooks I have in my workshop.

Put in some TeraFlex 1.25" spring spacers as my OME springs are showing their age. Need to get some of the lift back from sagging as I don't want to buy new springs just yet.

I know spring compressors aren't recommended here and I tend to agree they are dangerous so use them with caution. In this case they made install that much easier.

One more to go!

All done. Turned out great very happy with the result. I do feel some vibration as the lift probably warrants transfer case pucks now.

Decided to do the RUBICON locker switch mod.
The mod is to be able to lock your axles in any drive position, 2wd, 4hi and of course 4lo.
It was really easy and looks like it works just as advertised. There are a few different ways to do this mod and some people add a switch to cancel the mod, but I just wired it direct. I did it the way it shows in the second graph which is the same way as using a cut out switch, just without the switch..

And the proof is in the pudding....
You can see the lock lights on the panel and the transfer case shifter position..
Mmmmmm........ pudding........

2wd - rear axle locked

Hey I have a few questions to ask you if you don’t mind!!!

Started having a reoccurring P300 engine misfire and since the spark plugs are new and the recommended Autolite plugs; not knowing how old the CKPS and CPS are I decided to order a Mopar Camshaft Position Sensor and Crankshaft Position Sensor. I am leaning towards the CPS going bad and will keep the other sensor as a spare.

I put one on my '06 too. Throttle tip in was just too light, made it touchy/jumpy unless you were extremely smooth all the time. The extra spring made everything smoother.
I feel the throttle is super touchy offroad, I always though it was just the high torque/low gear ratio and my chit driving that was the problem. I have some springs laying around and it won't hurt to try it out, maybe Im not as terrible as I thought :ROFLMAO:
