What did you do to your TJ today?

Painting my sliders today with some more flat black. I would've taken these off to paint but when I installed them (with my own nut-serts) my very last bolt started spinning freely as I was tightening it down... I left it there since and we haven't had any problems🤞. They're drying now but they seem to be turning out as good as new.

I enviously followed your build on Instagram months ago, but I must have missed something: why do you have to do more work to the wiring harness? Also, albeit I’m not very well versed in engine swaps, I think you did a fantastic job with transforming a neglected Jeep with rusted out floorboards that you could poke a hole through with your finger into a fully running Jeep with a badass engine. As have so many others on here. Y’all have given me hope with my own rust bucket 😂 It’s just awesome, and it was so cool to follow everyone’s builds and watch the transformations in real(ish) time! 🤘
You must have me mixed up with someone else, I haven't been active on social medias since before I got the Jeep. Unless someone else is secretly posting as me and posting the progress of my build? Ha ha.

I really should be buying stock in purple paint companies :)

LOL, well I have to say that someone else around my parts has decided to go with the same color. I have been looking at my Walmart for the last 3 weeks and they have been out of stock. I was starting to get worried as I only had about a half a can left. Luckily we ended up having to go buy a bolt and the local Ace Hardware had the same exact paint. What a relief to be able to get another can. LOL Probably paid twice as much for it, but my anxieties have been calmed. LOL :D

That was me that bought up everyone's inventory. I guess I missed a place though, but let me know if you need more ... I have gallons of it right next to my 1,000s of rolls of TP. A guys gotta make a living hahaha

Moved to the horns in order to scare mask wearing bad drivers off. Man these horns work so much better. Didn’t go too crazy but definitely a great cheap upgrade.
Horns

60DB each. Simple to wire. Took the chance to clean up some rust and preventative care. Some battery terminal protector spray for good measure and they're done. Sounds a bit louder than my ‘17 Durango.

Pulled off my leaking Radiator to find out I had a lifetime warranty from Champion Cooling systems. Called the Corp today and they are sending out a free replacement.
Finally fixing that little leak which has been going on for the last year.

I thought those were the best OEM replacement and that they never failed? ;)

Good to know, I'll go and jack up slightly and place a jack stand underneath. Thanks for the tip!
Got the new MBRP stainless exhaust installed today. It was actually tougher to install the new than it was to remove the old. Took around 2.5 hrs start to finish, about 1.5 hours longer than I thought that it would. But sounds awesome. Super happy with it!

Yeah it was a used Jeep and the last owner installed it so I didn't know it came with a lifetime warranty. They we're cool enough to transfer the ownership to me as long as I knew the name of the Purchaser.
I had been working on the leak for the last year and thought it was old hoses and changed that and it still leaked after that update. Finally pulled it out and I think the leak came from cooling fins by the top neck. So hopefully the radiator will finally solved my year long leak.

Started the sound deadening process.

Wrapped the exposed wires with cloth tape, probably overkill but will prevent rattles.

And on with the dynamat sound deadener. I got the bulk pack that includes 9 sheets of 18" x 32". While it won't give 100% coverage it gives a decent amount for the tub front and rear. Halfway complete.

What does the frame look like?
I’ve been keeping track of it for a while, and everything is good except for around the skid plate. There is flaking on the inside on both sides, so I’m gonna replace them pretty soon. I already did the driver’s side rear trailing arm a couple of years ago. I eventually want to do a frame swap, but I’ve got to save up for it, and find one that is in decent shape.

Really? Oh my bad. Well, still, I commend you nonetheless lol!

Edit: I was thinking of @Whitetrash ’s instagram build. I mistook your avatar for one of his Instagram pics. Both of you did engine swaps, but I think his engine is a 5.2, and yours is a 5.9. Either way, both are great builds! (y)
