What did you do to your TJ today?

Decided to pull out the front driveshaft and totally rebuild it. I had forgotten how much of a pain it is to unbolt it from the TC!
The CV had a nest of angry sparrows hatching!

extremely lazy question since i'm asking BEFORE i actually lie down and look under my 2006 to figure it out for myself.
do the gas tank skid plate bolts hold the gas tank to the frame, or are they autonomous ???
i want to pull the plate and to a correct sanding and repaint, but don't want to deal with dropping the tank as well.

Re-assembled the used OEM foglites that needed help. Backshell on one needed some glue, wiring on the other needed fishing through the rubber grommet dingus. Since they're pre-05 lites going onto an '06, I needed to attach new pigtails to both as well. What genius at Jeep thought reversing the connectors for the last 2 years was a good idea?

Put down my windshield to clean the seals and check for rust. I sprayed fluid film inside the windshield frame and wiped down the outside bottom with crc marine rust inhibitor. It's basically spray on cosmoline. Its superior to fluid film in every way except 1: it will shrivel your balls.

I also installed some knock off grabars. They are straight up dogshit word to your mother.

The handle rubber is squishy and low quality. The driver side seems relatively sturdy, but the passenger side bends easily at the mounting plate. The steel is much softer. Typical made in China.

It came with longer bolts, but they are soooooo fuckin made in china. I just went ahead and reused the factory bolts. I'm sorry, I meant to say torx head machine screws. They seem to fully engage the female threads so it should be good?

Should have got the grabars.
