Never MTRk. Cooper ST Max is comparable to the Pats.@strumble8 and @tworley - what do you think of the MTRs for our climate? Did you run them too @jjvw at any point, or just the Coopers then these Patagonias?

I've got 5 of the Mambas. I really don't like the silver paint, otherwise I would be running them right now.I should probably just be patient and do it right, there's some decent enough ones with the right backspacing so I can get rid of my spacers - which is a nice benefit to changing wheels.
Love 'em in the summer. Can't stand them in the winter. Ill have to replace mine by next summer. I'm torn between another set, MTZ, or the general grabber.

Is it the quality of the finish, or the look?
There is nothing wrong with the painted finish. Many JK Moabs have similar. I just don't like the look. My factory Moabs were clear coated raw aluminum and looked much better.
.... Now to decide if the C vs E rating is all it's cracked up to be.
I don't get enough miles to wear out my tires anytime soon, maybe 5k a year. Most of that is between april 1st and October 1st. I have driven in some pretty torrential rain storms with the MTR's, and I didnt have any issue's.
It isn't.
At least in my case, the difference was subtle. I never thought my two sets of Es were too stiff. I don't think my current set of C's are that different. I have to way of knowing if the difference I felt on day one is because of the load range or not. I don't think load range matters as much as some want it to. It kinda fits into the spring rate argument.

That's my general feeling.
Put me second in line if this falls through
