What did you do to your TJ today?

Installed LED headlights and LED PODS as fog lights. Love them.

ps... don’t mind the ugly grill,PO installed, and then thought it was a bright idea to paint it black while on the car... and not cover anything???? the jeep is normally stone White, but under this hideous grill is black but not a good black. So need to either re-paint it or find a good condition front grill.

I made my rear axle weld forever ago, the axle is still in the workshop as I brought it there. on thursday back i found out, much has happened in the meantimet that the guy is now on vacation. I'm already looking forward to the day when I can ride the road with the TJ again.

small jobs that I've done, the cables for taillights and trailer lighting renewed.

I covered my rock chipped grill with a black ABS plastic cover. Mine isn't as angry as yours.;)

Yeah, thats not bad at all! I didn't do any internal coating but mine will never see snow or salt again, maybe some rain but not much of that either. if I was running it as a DD or in the salt, I'd certainly put something in there. Maybe fluid film and repeat it every year. Congrats on not having to pull and replace the whole thing tho!

Thanks! I was surprised that there wasn’t more rust, as I’m pretty see this thing had spent its whole life in the Northeast, but I’ll take this win!

That‘s the ones I was thinking of. I don’t know if they mount like @Viking Jeeper and @brewtus98 described, but the angled ends were what made me think of it.

👍

Those are the same ones I have. They are mounted using the 3 side body mounts, but they’re pretty sturdy. Granted I haven’t used them on rocks or anything, so I can’t speak to their performance in that aspect. I use them as a step, and have no complaints.

By that username you must have, or previously had, a BMW 3 series?

White grill in Rhode Island...could be close or far depending where in Mass you are

Where did you get your grill cover? I've been looking for a factory chrome one that I can paint and make into a garage decoration with lights.
Extreme Terrain Barricade brand. Unfortunately they stopped making them a month after I bought it. They only sell $450 chrome ones now. I've seen people Plasti-Dip their grills and they looked great. I've never had good luck using it myself.
