What did you do to your TJ today?

We have a guy in town who has a red TJ , stays topless, has a skeleton like that sitting on the front bumper all the time .

TJ looks cool from like 500', then you get close ....see the skeleton and all the sheet metal screws and odd mods.

I'm pretty quick to strike up a conversation with Tj owners.

Usually.

I can't think of anything to say to this guy.

A new pair of shoes👌👍👊. After putting two giant holes in the sidewalk of my STT PRO's on a spur of the moment ride up the canyon after work at 10:30pm🤦🏼‍♂️. The ONLY plus was getting new tires, and wasn't that much of a plus because the Cooper's still had 60% tread remaining. Anyways, after a ton of research, and taking myself out of 35's I decided to go from 33/12.50's to 33/10.50's and so far I'm glad that I did. Nothing against the 12.50's as I actually think I like the looks of the wider tire better. However the tall, skinny General Grabber X3's sure make the Jeep feel a bit more nimble if that makes sense? The Jeep also "seems" to have a little bit more get up and go. Not sure if that's all in my head though, I now use 5th gear a lot more often so it's probably not. Can't wait to see the difference when the white stuff flies here in Sanpete County, Ut. The added bonus with the Generals is that the red lettering on the sidewalls really go good with the color scheme that the ol Rubicon🤘.

"It'll be easy" they said "It's only four bolts" they said:
WTF?!
Getting the master clutch cylinder rod off sucks!
Had to take the snap ring off and dump brake fluid everywhere...still haven't gotten the retaining "hat off", might have to break out the grinder. Tried putting picks in it, no love.

Wrapped up another loose end during lunch. When I installed my heated seats I made two mistakes... One, I tapped constant instead of switched power. Two I had my pilot bit wander when drilling for the switches. This resulted in misaligned switches which I knew I couldn’t live with. So a replacement was ordered... Davey's again!

I figured I’d take care if them at some point, but no rush. Well, Wednesday night I left the seat heater on and had a dead battery when I tried to go out Thursday afternoon. Whoops... Guess my memory is not to be trusted.

So I was able to tap switched power. And since my head unit charges my phone anyway, and I don’t smoke, I decided to use the power and lighter holes for my switches in the replacement switch panel.

This looks a lot cleaner, and I like that they’re tucked back...A little harder to see, but the bright LED indicators also are also less distracting. And it’s nice that it keeps the whole right panel free for something down the road.

Do you really need heated seats in ME? (JK) I'm from VT, but lived in Waterville ME. My ass is the last thing that gets cold if my heater quits working.

Need? Absolutely not. Want? Hell yeah. I love this time of year, and it's tough to beat top down, heated seats on and driving up the coast in the upper 50's/lower 60's! I put my first set in back in 2004 in my '04 Rubicon and have added them to every Jeep since.

Small world... My wife is from Waterville.

LOL we saw him too. Hubby wants him to put in our yard. I told him we would only be able to put him up for a couple months, he say's, "no, I plan to keep him up year round". LOL

Just haven't wanted to put out the money to buy him though. LOL

Those look good there.

Simple things. Under the hood light. The previous one was toast and something is wrong with the power wire. The ground works fine so had to run power to the fuse box and use the existing ground. Not sure I want to unwrap the entire harness to find where it is busted.

the 2nd is a cowl vent cover I painted the same as my fenders. Still not sold on it and might remove it.

tomorrow is wiring for a backup camera.
