What did you do to your TJ today?

I lock the doors with a soft top. If they want in they break windows anyway. Plastic or glass. I keep everything out of sight in any car.

I know people that leave their cars with glass windows unlocked and empty of stuff, because they've had windows broken.

Sometimes it's worse than that. Many years ago my friend's father had his MG Midget broken into by slicing the top right above the snaps when the doors weren't locked. New top wasn't cheap even back then.

I don't do much mall type parking at night but I have been tempted to put a sticker on each side that says DOORS ARE NOT LOCKED. Unfortunately I doubt they can read.

The reality is that idiots that steal shit would rather cut plastic windows than unzip them. Glass hard top windows are just an excuse to smash them and paint #BLM on your Jeep. 🇺🇸

Leaving a nice note might help.

Hello everyone

I've never worked on anything for so long, the biggest problem is that I have to wait a long time for many spare parts,
Today I installed the axle beam, at least as far as my parts can reach. I'm still waiting for a lot of new screws.

In your first picture, I thought you were "social distancing" your axle from your Jeep until the text results came back. You need a badge like mine. Nice job!

Very nice! Looks like you're getting close to the end of that project and I know it will be awesome when you get her back on all fours.

When I bought my TJ it had a lightbar on the front bumper and 'speaker wire' run to a cheap dash switch. No fuse, no nothing. I ordered a 'factory look' switch (Ebay) legended 'lightbar' with an ON light. Since it is only a Sport there was an empty spot in the distribution panel for a relay. So we dug around and found the proper wiring and added a fuse to an empty spot (also in the distribution panel). Now I have a nice matching dash switch, a fused connection, and a relay so I am getting full power to the light bar. Now I just need to make some sticky labels for the distribution panel to identify the changes.

useless is in the eye of the beholder. I think hi-lift jacks are useless but don’t comment on it every time I see one.
Hopefully this never happens but never say never right. Using a Hi-Lift Jack hardware on a broken axle.

I cleaned up my rear end. Took the plastic bits off the hinges and took the rubber bumpers off since they do nothing with my tire carrier.

Edit to add: I'd love to do the CJ tailgate swap sometime, but I worry about reaching stuff inside the longer LJ with a fold-down tailgate. Has anyone done it, and how did you like it?
