Identify this bumper and cage

I personally have always really liked that front bumper. I ran it on one of my old builds. It's very functional if you are running stock fenders.

I don’t hate it as much as some seem to. I took the spotlights off this evening and I’m ok with it for now. I’ll definitely swap it for a stocker if/when one comes along but in the meantime it’s fine.

Is it a modification of the stock one forward from the B pillar or is it all custom? What's stopping you from just going at it and unbolting everything?

Good question and as this is my first TJ I couldn’t say definitively. At the same time, the B pillar back appears to be color matched so my gut says the only thing aftermarket are the A arms and the crossmember that runs between them in front of the sun visors.

I need to get a tamper-proof T-50 and then I don’t suppose there’s anything stopping me.

Maybe so. I just went out to see how my factory sport bar is made. Everything from the B-pillar back is color matched. The bar that goes from the windshield to the B-pillar is black and unbolts at the windshield and has a flange with 2 torx bolts at the B-pillar.

Same setup. Going to guess with how this was left out exposed to the elements for quite some time, it’s probably seized up pretty good. I’ll start the lube and long bar work soon.

If you have a dremel tool and small sized bit like THIS, you could grind off the security pin and just use a regular T-50. If you don't plan on keeping any of it, try clamping some vice grips on there and backing it out.

Looks like you'll also need some of THESE.

Working on getting the front bumper/grille guard off today and encountered a fully resistant T-50 bolt. Got the other 4 off without much effort after hitting them all with PB at 8:00 this morning. At this point I’ve basically stripped the Torx head. Any ideas that don’t involve cutting it off? The nut is welded in, so I’d like to avoid that if I can.

TY. Not copying but I’m replacing bumpers with Motobilt. May even steal your idea and drop some color behind logo.
Sourbluff, plagiarism is the highest form of flattery! Be my guest copy away, I did the back-fill because so many people really hate the logo cut in the bumper, it doesn't bother me so I emphasized it. I like it.

How did you do the color? Thinking of welding bit plate behind that will paint. Thought that might allow color and also help rock slide on without catching in cutout (if that is even concern).

I painted with automotive paint from AutoZone on metal plates cut to size then I epoxied them to the backside in case I need to remove them later.

@jrmcafee That cage has got to be bolted through the torque boxes (channel under side of the tub). What kind of shape are they in? Did they crush them or cut through them?
Looks like the bolt runs through the frame. I haven’t examined it too closely yet. Honestly I assumed the feet were either just resting in the tub or were welded in because there didn’t appear to be any bolt heads in the floorboard. I started un-bolting the cage last night but didn’t get too far. It was late so I pulled a couple of them to see what I was dealing with. They pulled loose without any effort.

@MountaineerTom those front rollbar extensions... is that a factory piece that this rollbar has replaced?
