Do I need a slip yoke eliminator kit?

I will say that a tummy tuck on our Jeeps is a lot of work and can really add up to be rather costly. But it is definitely worth it in the end!

The tuck project for me ended up taking a couple years to complete. It's nice that you can work on this project in stages so it can be a little easier on the wallet.

i don't see a reason you cannot drop that skid until you have funds to collect the parts you need to fix this issue, unless you can park the jeep until then.

if you had 2-3 inches of lift your rig now has more like 5" of lift in the driveline.
IDK about a TC cable, the BL would pull you away then the TT would put you back ..........but they are a nice smooth shifting device if you should need it.
the rear diff is gonna have to be held pointed at the TC to run the SYE and DC shaft, this will require some adjustable links. 4 is best and gives the most options and ability to change the angles and position the axle.
the rotation of the axle can cause interferences with the TB, it's bracket and gas tank skid, if this occurs an angled relocation bracket is likely needed.

Can’t @mrteak remove the rear driveshaft and drive around in 4H till he gets the following items?

- rear adjustable upper and lower CA’s.
- SYE
- DC
- Angled TB relocation bracket
-Shock extension brackets, if necessary, or trim the rear perch for clearance

Do I need double adjustable control arms? Do I need rear upper and lowers?
Although you can get by with either adjustable uppers or lowers to rotate the pinion, you are much better off with both to allow you to better position the axle / wheels in the wheel well, clear the tank, etc.

Double adjustable control arms allow you to adjust the length without removing the arm, as both joints are threaded. On single adjustable arms (one joint is threaded, one is fixed) one side must be removed to adjust the length of the arm.

Yes. I drove in 4H with my rear driveshaft removed for 2 full months. No issues at all…

Even better, pull the problem.

It was early.

@mrteak, just pull the rear driveshaft, shift your TCase to 4H and you can drive without any further changes till you get the above list of items. Easy. Sorry it costs you more money, but a TT is a no joke mod. It takes a lot of work and supporting mods.

Thanks for the heads up but I already put back the stock TC till I order and receive the parts. I'll just take my time and order the necessary items to do it properly. just empty every pocket...

And just to be clear, when doing a tummy tuck with the UCF Ultra high clearance skid, the regular Advance Adapter SYE kit mentioned above will work with a 2.5" suspension lift?

I'm not sure. I took the advice of other forum members and went with the Mega-short kit from JB Conversions. Have you reached out to UCF or AA with this question?

I did reach out to AA and spoke to Austin, who told me that there was a high likelihood their SYE kit wouldn’t work as well as an SS SYE and kindly offered to take theirs back for a refund, well outside the 30 days from initial purchase. I will wait for JB Conversions to restock their SS SYE kit.

I think you'll be glad you went with the super short.
