Hey guys,

I've decided to change my oil pressure sensor on the jeep since the gauge has been fluctuating lately.

Does anyone know how to get the connector off? I know there's a red tab that has to be pulled but mine seems to be angled differently and I can't tell if Im supposed to be moving it up or down or squeeze it together? It seems pretty on there too.

I'll post a picture of the connector, sorry if it's kind of hard to see.

Squeeze it once the red lock is moved to unlock.

Spraying it with WD-40 and waiting a few mins will help release it. Wipe the WD-40 off the outside so that you can grip it.

You should also put an elbow on the AC drain to prevent the water from being blown back and eventually ending up on the passenger floor.

Good call on the WD-40. So to be clear I am squeezing the red tabs together until it is loose?

Push the red tab to the side so it looks like this picture and then push down on the black tab and pop it off…

Update: broke the red tab off and the piece of the connector that you push down to slide it off...
Anyone have any ideas on how to remove it now that it's broke? or should I just leave this for a professional
