The code is in the PCM and cannot be programmed out or removed. If you are in an emissions state, you will not pass because of that code.

Where did you get your pcm from?

The pcm sounds like the culprit. Leaking caps are the cause of 80-90% of the issues with early TJ’s. You can send it to us and we can run it in one of our Jeeps and hopefully repair it if it is the computer. Thanks, Mark

The most common failure in the early jtech ecms are the caps exploding and will cause a crank, no start.

The u0168 and p0516 are background codes and will not affect anything.

Yes, you can drive it. I have enclosed a video link for the P0016 code and how to fix it.

@zwaig94 The P0016 is a cam/crank misalignment code and the others are in your pcm. Can you please upload a picture of the pcm? It sound like it was replaced with another OEM and that is where the issues are. You can call me to discuss in further detail after 8 AM. Thanks, Mark
