What did you do to your TJ today?

I think it did. Not a huge amount, but I could tell the difference when I compared one side (modified) to the other (unmodified). I didn't add the tape to the bottom of the housings, because the driver side is clear to illuminate the tag, while the passenger side is solid. I was afraid the...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Removed and thoroughly cleaned my brake light lenses. Then I cut pieces of HVAC aluminum duct tape and put in the housings, for better light reflectivity of the brake lights and reverse lights. Poor man's method of brightening my lights. Cheaper than LED bulbs and flasher replacement.

Which Wheels Look Better: Full-Face Steel or Ecco Cast Aluminum?

I ran some mudgrips on YJ Sahara 6-spoke steel rims on a gray Cherokee Laredo 4x4 I had about 20 years ago. I don't have a pic, but they looked really good. The other rims I had were the stock 10-spoke aluminum, that I had street tires on.

    Nice surprise with NV3550 transmission

My son bought a 2005 RME last Spring, that has the NSG370. It shifted okay, but felt a little notchy. 6th gear was really hard to find. I drained the fluid that was in it and put in Pennzoil Synchromesh MTF, that meets the 2005 specs. Now we can find any gear by practically using a finger and...

    Dilemma for new owner

IMHO, driving 75 mph in a TJ (almost regardless of tires) is a "fun" ride anyway. Short wheelbase and high CG cause that. Also, gas mileage is really bad, given the aerodynamics. My experiences with DW have most often occurred within a few thousand miles of replacing tires, most likely...
