So some of the front diff teeth might be chewed up and grind when revving up is what you're getting at?

When I am in 4wd taking off, or during regular driving it will occasionally grind. I can move from 2WD to 4WD okay. It does change directly to acceleration or deceleration. ie reving up the engine in gear will rev up the grinding occasionally, if I let it decelerate it clears up/grinds less.
