When I did my tailgate ones the instructions for the new hinges said to turn them right (clockwise) a hair to break them loose then unscrew them. Worked like a charm.

Is the juice worth the squeeze? Say you were going to rebuild a 4.0L with 200k miles. Bore if needed. New bearings etc.

I bought the longer studs for the rear from napa. They were very inexpensive for the piece of mind they offered me.

Might look at take off rims+tires. I got a nice set of 5 JK rubicon rims with decent ko2s on them for $500. Spacers were cheap to make them fit.

I like my spiderweb shade. Did some research and wanted one that wouldn’t fade. So far so good.

Once you get it squared away, the LED replacement bulb is a game changer.

I run the terraflex tail light bracket and a half wave 2/70 antenna. I do not have any complaints and it goes in my garage without hitting. Have a 3’ fire stick on the other side for the chicken band. I don’t like the antennas up front. -edited. I think the antenna I run is the diamond NR770HB

Get the 4.0L 6cyl. They don’t call it the iron duke for nothing. Be patient. The right deal will come along. I passed on a bunch of 4cyl models before finding my 00 TJ. What is your budget, maybe we could help find you one?

Fatty I read on here that a heat gun on low setting will bring the black factory flares back without painting. It’s on my list of things to do but I haven’t tried it yet.

the previous owner of my TJ put silicone everywhere. Soft top floor plugs seats steering wheel, all over. I’ve spent the last three weeks trying to get it all cleaned off.
