    Painting Reconditioned Frame

Hi All, I’m reconditioning a frame for my TJ and I think it’s ready for paint. The weather looks good this weekend so I’m hoping I can get it sprayed. I don’t have a way to flip it mid spray so I’m thinking about hanging it from the garage ceiling. Anyone have any suggestions on how to access...

    Rear glass not closing tight

I replaced the rear glass on my TJ Hardtop. Now when closed there is a 1/4" gap on drivers side vertical towards the bottom. I can get it to close if I hold the glass shut when I close the tailgate but it doesn't stay. Is there a way to adjust this so it closes and stays closed?

I am in the middle of replacing my heater core. 2000 Sahara 4.0 with AC. I ordered a new core from Rockauto and it does not fit. The best way I can describe it is, after the first bend leaving the main core body the tubing is too long. You can see that they are different in the attached...

Can I add a Sprintex Supercharger without any tuning?

I am adding a Sprintex Supercharger to my 2000 TJ 4.0. I’ll be upgrading to bigger injectors and adding a Snow Methanol injection setup at the same time. I’m wondering if I can just run it on the stock ECU tune or will it require tuning. From everything I’ve read both Split Second and HpTuners...

Cooling system upgrades for 4.6 stroker with Sprintex supercharger

I’m getting parts together to rebuild my 4.0 as a “modified poor man’s stroker” 4.6. I also plan to install a Sprintex supercharger that I have. I’ve read many threads about cooling system upgrades and I understand that there is no benefit to upgrading the oem system for a stock 4.0, but What...

Does the freeze / heat method work or do I need a press for pinion and carrier bearings?

I'm installing a new ring and pinion and Powertrax LSD in my rear differential (Dana 35). I made some mock up bearings to get it setup correctly. I have a good gear pattern and I'm ready to do my final assembly. I don't have a shop press so if I'm going to press the bearings on I will either...

Burning wire smell when AC is on

I am getting a burnt wire or plastic type spell when I use the AC in my TJ. It seems to be coming from the vents, but it's pretty tough to tell. I found this connector loose on the passenger side of the engine compartment near the oil filter. It looks like a 2 pin connector, but there is only one wire going to it. It's hard to tell but the wire looks predominantly green and possibly has a white tracer. Can anyone tell me what this is...
