Who makes the highest quality hood louver?

Price is right on this one. Any reason it says 2003-2006? Will it work on a 97?

    Jeep cutting off

Went with mopar America. They also have the ability to put your vin in at time of purchase and they will verify you get the correct item. Got the o2 sensors from rock auto. If you’re gonna do those, start the PB blasting now!

    Jeep cutting off

Yep, hang up is exactly what it felt like to me. Initial thought was fuel pump cutting off. Cruised this forum and came across mopar crankshaft pos sensor and NTK oxygen sensors, so I changed them. Having replaced O2 sensors on other cars, I think the O2 sensors have a much larger...

Who makes the highest quality hood louver?

Ok you guys made your point. 😂 I suppose heat louvers on the hood is better than my current setup - no hood at all. You just have to understand my engine is so pretty right now, I don’t want anything on it, even those dirty little water droplets!!

What makes my 05 TJ stumble at times?

I had a stumble after a full engine rebuild. Ended up replacing O2 sensors with NGK from rock auto. $60 for both shipped to home. Jeep was very “jerky” and not smooth. Like a new vehicle now. Soaked sensors in PB for a few days, then went at it. Would recommend having a spark plug pitch...

Who makes the highest quality hood louver?

I want one too, but I t seems like those would allow a lot of water to hit the top of your engine. Do they?

Engine does not run right after valve job

Curious. What oil did you use for initial fill?

Engine does not run right after valve job

Dude that sucks. If the lifter is that worn, the cam may still be good. I’d get new lifters (they are $5/each) and load then back in. Obviously change the oil filter. Then get some zddp and rotella t and try it again.

Engine does not run right after valve job

It’s probably not as risky, IF you have oil that is high in ZDDP.

Engine does not run right after valve job

Might be worth checking. Couldn’t hurt.

Engine does not run right after valve job

If you changed lifters, but not the cam, I’d be worried about wiping a cam lobe. I just rebuilt my 4.0 and the new camshaft came with a piece of paper that recommended break in with delvac, rotella t, or delo 400 due to their higher zinc and phosphorus concentration. This article explains a...

    Hinge bushing question

Restoring a 1997 TJ. The windshield and upper hinge is from a 1997. The tub I installed is a 2001 - the lower hinge is different. Id like to purchase this set from Quadratech: https://www.quadratec.com/p/quadratec/delrin-hinge-bushings-american-outlaw-ez-door-pin-guides-jeep-yj-tj As I...

These are the two bigger blocks on the other end of the harness. Looks even worse going that direction.

Help with tub swap wiring harness

Mrblane, No kidding! I’m hoping there is a more elegant way to do this than sawzalling a bigger hole in the firewall!! I’m sitting here totally vexed at the moment. As you can see from the pic, I’m doing a frame off restore and am trying to be very meticulous!
