    I don't need those mine are good, just the big square one that sits on top of the throttle body. Does it have any broken pieces on it? Does it bolt to the engine correctly

    Had a mishap where my air intake box that connects to my throttle body has cracked. It's on a 2.5 l. These are really hard to come by that I'm finding out. I don't have any want to put a cold air intake on but need to do something to go to the filter from the throttle body. Has anybody out there...

    Unfortunately found the new problem. The connector to the fuel pump has a short. Have to cut and put a new pig tail on. Found one that started out is one of the last ones in the USA. That was a lucky find.

    I did put in a new coil. Then had to change the entire distributor. Had it for less the 50 miles now it won't fire up. Sent it back to the shop this morning.

    Come to find out it was the distributor was bad. It wasn't caught when they put it in the new engine. But the downfall is after the new distributor was put in 20 miles later now the engine won't start at all. FML

    So I checked all wires and vacuum houses. All looks good. Cleaned out throttle body. Everything else is new. Less the 500 mile on the engine. I want having this problem with the old engine.

    So I just got a new 2.5 liter rebuild from Jasper put in professionally with the install kit. The kit includes all the bells and whistles like water pump hoses belts thermostats spark plugs distributor and so forth. I have a new problem there's no Rhyme or Reason to this problem. It only happens...

    Got the TJ back yesterday. New engines is beautiful. It's a Jasper rebuild. It came with a 100,000 mile warranty. I had them do the install Kit. that gave me new hoses water pump thermostat serpentine belt and all the other fixings. Those parts came with us another three year warranty. So far so...

    I'm a sucker for restoring back to original. I went with a professional rebuild 2.5 with 100,000 mile warranty. I know it's not the 4.0 but that little engine can assure climb.

    I hate to say it but I think I found the problem either it was a rod piston rings or sleeve but now the question has been answered

    So yesterday while doing a test drive. Still trying to figure out where the sound was. Believe we threw a rod and cracked the block. Loud bang then big cloud of smoke and now a hole through the oil pan draining all the coolant and oil. Now off to do an engine swap

    No the sound started prior. That is what made me change the oil to add oil Stabilizer
