I’m overhauling the camshaft, timing chain, OPDA, head and lifters on my Jeep, but sourcing all the parts is proving difficult. Anyone know a good brand of lifters? Chrysler doesn’t make them anymore. Perhaps a cam and lifter combo? Also, are tappets just lifters by another name? 2005 4.0...

I like unmodified TJ’s as well (and I love them in green!), especially since off roading for me is pretty simple stuff that stock Jeeps can easily handle. Here is my 05 Willys Edition and my 04 Rubicon. Both stock.

Not sure exactly the gear, probably 3rd or 4th. It happened in 2nd also later that day on the way to the shop. I did need a new radiator when I first hit it; I never let it get too hot but prior to my ownership possibly.
