04 TJ A/C Mode Door Help Needed

So the issues has been identified and it seems that bit not a common one. The mode door the controls which vents the air blow out of. Not the same as the blend door that it's often referred to as. Anyway, the lever that moves the mode door has snapped off and need to be replaced. This lever is where the actuator attaches to to move the door and direct the air where desired. So the issue is that from 03 to 06 the A/C under dash box design changed. The common lever that is used on older jeeps appears to be a different design as well. Long story short, I can't find any info on this specific problem on later TJs. Or the correct replacment lever. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated!

I'm faced with the exact same thing except the other end of the plastic arm broke off. What did you end up doing?

I have the same problem. How much did you have to tear apart to get to it. I've only found it with an inspection camera but my metal arm may have only popped off the lever. Lever may have been glued at the vent side at some point.
