05 TJ Blower Switch

So on my LJ the fan only works when it gets up to the third "fan" setting.

I believe it might be an issue with the blower fan switch? Did something change in regards to this for the 05/06, everything I'm seeing is 97-04. Is there a part number for it, do I need to buy the whole unit? Or is it another issue all together?

Probably just the blower resistor. Very common problem.

X2 to the above. It's the blower resistor. A common problem, and an easy fix.

Reading about it should I replace the blower motor too which seems to be the root cause?

I read the blower motor when they go bad draw too much power which blows the resistor. Not sure if thats valid.

It would be a good preventive. I just did the resistor on mine when it acted up, but you know how these TJ's are.

Mine only works on 3 as of a couple days ago. So I ordered a Blower Motor Resistor for my 2000. Got Mopar.
