I am thinking about taking out the PSC ram on my 06 TJ due to extremely sensitive steering. Extreme as in undrivable on pavement. Recently purchased the Jeep with a 4 in Clayton lift a rockjock and 33s.

Took it to the shop for their advice. The caster is set at +7 per PSC spec. Their suggestion is to remove the ram but leave in the PSC 12:1 box. They think the seller may have removed larger tires before selling which is making it so sensitive.

My question is won’t the 12:1 still be sensitive even without the ram? I believe stock is 15:1.

That is likely the race version of a steering gear they use in the Jeep Speed stuff and if so, wholly inappropriate for anything on the street. Can you post up any clear pics of it so we can see if we can tell what it is?

To reiterate what was stated above, unless you have something very odd going on, you won't be able to tell the cylinder is removed.
